Accommodation at Footsteps Across The Delta
Footsteps is an intimate Okavango Delta bush camp for the safari adventurer, who wants to experience walking in the African bush in traditional style. Tents are rustic but comfortable with a vanity table, small clothes storage stand and 2 single beds - which are warmed up with a hot water bottle on cool winter nights!
You wash and shave in simple Botswana safari style from a portable basin and mirror stand under an awning outside your tent. Your long drop toilet is adjacent, as is the bucket shower - both discreetly surrounded by canvas walls. Hot water is provided for your overhead outdoor shower and basin whenever you want it.
If you cannot do without mod-cons for a couple of nights, then Footsteps Camp is not for you. But if you want to experience a real adventure safari. Footsteps gives you that opportunity, while providing a good level of comfort.
The food and service is excellent at this Okavango Delta camp, and the staff are all old hands at bush living. They even manage to produce cakes and breads from an earth oven and coals. Soups, casseroles and vegetables are cooked in great cast iron pots and served piping hot at a beautifully decorated dinner table.
Some special surprises await you at Footsteps in Botswana, such as an unexpected bush lunch or walking around a huge termite mound just as the sun is setting to find a table with snacks and a chilled bottle of champagne awaiting you.
