Jongomero Tented Camp aims to show you the full variety of scenery, flora, fauna, and the different wildlife they support that make Ruaha so diverse and interesting. From open plains to thick inhospitable bush, from the tranquil river scenes to great herds of Buffalo enveloped in clouds of dust as they make their way through the Acacia woodlands.
Jongomero Tented Camp specializes in day-long expeditions, stopping for breakfast and a picnic lunch in pre-arranged locations of particular attraction under those mighty Baobabs or overlooking the Ruaha River, gathering point for many of the reserve's animals.
The team of qualified guides will design your daily wildlife viewing program to both suit you, the changing seasons, and the movements of wildlife ensuring you the best possible experience, by whatever means is most appropriate.
The best way to experience the African wild is on foot. The camp will oblige with walking safaris accompanied by a qualified guide. These are overnight expeditions on foot with a lightweight mobile camp. This option must be pre-booked.
