A 6-month dry period can be enjoyed at the Katavi National Park from June till the end of October. Katavi turns green and lush from November to February. Katavi National Park has a similar climate to Ruaha National Park, but with a completely contrasting topography, comprising a series of flood plains and fringed woodland teeming with wildlife (many of which are not found in Ruaha eg.Topi). You are surrounded by wildlife the moment you arrive in this remote part of East Africa!
Tom Appleby, an experienced zoologist and professional guide, will host your visit and lead game drives and walks, to encounter the wonderous African animals that you have travelled so far to see. Specially adapted 4x4 wheel drive vehicles are used on game drives, with two-way radio contact and tiered seating for good animal viewing.
