The burgeoning town of Livingstone is not far away and is experiencing something of a revival with colonial buildings being renovated and new businesses moving in.
Tongabezi is set low down on the riverbank, close to the river's edge. It is very conveniently placed for all the safari regions of Zambia, Botswana and Zimbabwe and visitors tend to come here for relaxation before or after their main game-watching safari.
Tongabezi provides airport transfers from Livingstone Airport (Zambian side) or Victoria Falls Airport (Zimbabwe side).
