Rusinga Island Lodge is situated in a remote and historical corner of western Kenya. The lodge is located on Rusinga Island on Lake Victoria, the world's second largest freshwater lake. The lodge is also located in Ruma National Park, Kenya.
Ruma National Park, Kenya, boasts the last surviving group of roan antelope. Rusinga Island Lodge is accessible by air or by road and ferry. Guests arriving by air will find the lodge a 20 minute flight from Kisumu and Masai Mara a 35 minute flight away.
The flight from Nairobi to Rusinga Island Lodge will take about an hour and a half. Guests travelling by road from Kisomu will drive for about 3 hours, where they can catch the ferry and the Mbita causeway.
